Bookstart Baby is a universal gifting programme in England and Wales. Every child aged 0-12 months is eligible for a free pack including a book, information leaflet and finger puppet, designed to support and encourage families to read with their child as early as possible.

 

A baby whose birth is registered within Waltham Forest will receive a Bookstart Baby pack at their appointment. Families of babies whose birth was registered outside the borough may claim their pack by visiting Walthamstow or Leytonstone libraries and asking a member of staff.
